Job summary

Dominion Energy has established an internal Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Lab to deliver data-driven insights into equipment failures and improve reliability and safety. This role, within the Electric Transmission Organization, ensures safety, performs root cause analyses, maintains lab facilities, and generates comprehensive reports in collaboration with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with equipment SMEs to document tear-down processes and set analysis expectations.
• Identify root causes by visual inspection, data analysis, and diverse analytical techniques.
• Perform NDT techniques (magnetic-particle exams, eddy current, acoustic emission) with SMEs.
• Produce detailed reports outlining findings and recommended corrective actions.
• Ensure safety and compliance for all RCA activities and verify training completion.
• Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and quality control for investigations.
