Job summary

Harsco Environmental is seeking a Reliability Engineer to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and drive continuous improvement across steel production and environmental systems. You will lead root cause failure analyses, implement corrective actions, and collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to enhance asset performance and safety.

Responsibilities include cross-site coordination, RCA leadership, maintenance strategy development, and maintaining reliability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or related technical field.
• 5+ years reliability, maintenance, or engineering experience in steel/heavy industrial/environmental operations.
• Experience with root cause analysis methodologies.
• Knowledge of maintenance and reliability best practices, including predictive and preventive maintenance.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, project management, and communication skills.
• Experience with CMMS systems and reliability data analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cross-Site Coordination: Connect sites, build relationships with maintenance supervisors, promote best practices.
• Technical Oversight & Reliability Engineering: Identify gaps, drive corrective actions, and ensure closure.
• Maintenance Strategy & Standards: Standardize preventive maintenance, define specs, and support sourcing.
• Develop and maintain a network-wide condition monitoring strategy and data sharing.
