Job summary

Leidos Defense seeks a Senior RAM Engineer to lead reliability analyses across multiple programs in a matrix organization. You will develop RAM artifacts, lead RAM tasks, and mentor junior engineers while coordinating with program leadership, customers, and cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes RAM prediction, MTTR/MTBF, FMEA, RBD, FTA, and FRACAS, with opportunities to shape tools and BoE support for DoD and NASA programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Software, CS, or related field from ABET-accredited university.
• At least 12 years of DoD/NASA/commercial reliability engineering experience.
• RAM analyses spanning the system lifecycle (MTTR, MTBF, FMEA/FMECA, RBD, FTA).
• Experience mentoring engineers or serving as a technical task lead.
• Deriving RAM requirements for complex electrical, electro-mechanical, mechanical, and software systems.
• Collaborative workspace with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Effective communication within a team environment.
• Experience with Reliasoft and Relyence reliability tools.
• Experience with Neufelder method.
• Experience with PLM tools such as Windchill.
• Willingness to relocate to North Alabama or reside in Huntsville area; active secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead RAM engineering tasks on major programs within a matrix organization.
• Develop RAM artifacts including RAM prediction, MTTR analyses, FMEA, and RBD/FTA.
• Support Basis of Estimation development and influence RAM tooling choices.
• Mentor junior reliability engineers and coordinate with program leadership and customers.
• Interface with cross-functional teams to ensure RAM requirements are met.
