Qualifications

• 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Proven track record delivering complex, multi-component features.
• Experience operating backend systems at scale and high-throughput architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services: Architect and implement Rails-based services that are performant and scalable.
• Own technical delivery: Lead design and implementation end-to-end from requirements to deployment.
• Drive system reliability: Diagnose bottlenecks and optimize queries for resilience under load.
• Define technical direction: Propose architectural decisions and communicate Trade-offs clearly.
• Mentor engineers: Provide hands-on guidance and code reviews to junior engineers.
• Improve engineering practices: Define and improve testing, observability, and deployment practices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with PMs, designers, QA, and other teams.
