Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Ruby on Rails and relational DB design.
• Experience with Redis, PostgreSQL, and Sidekiq in production.
• Full-stack capabilities across front-end, back-end, and data layers.
• Experience leveraging AI to improve products.
• U.S. resident with permanent work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and deliver complex features in Ruby on Rails, Postgres, GraphQL, REST, and sometimes React.
• Lead debt reduction and system reliability initiatives.
• Influence architecture and long-term improvements.
• Uphold code quality, tests, and docs; mentor others.
• Improve internal tooling, CI/CD, monitoring.
• Facilitate technical discussions and decision making.
• Serve as escalation point for complex challenges.
• Partner with PMs, designers, and engineers to shape feature direction early in discovery.
