Job summary

Olsson seeks a Senior Engineer on the Water Resources team to perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for Class I Railroad projects and manage project scope, schedule, and reporting.

You will review CAD drawings, prepare technical reports, obtain necessary permits, and travel to field sites. Strong leadership and 8+ years of water resources experience are required, with proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, and hydraulic software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineering License is required.
• 8+ years of related water resource engineering experience.
• 4 years of experience leading or mentoring.
• Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS or similar hydrologic/hydraulic software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for Class I Railroad projects.
• Assist with project scope and schedule development.
• Prepare technical reports and review CAD drawings.
• Obtain local, state, and federal permits for water resources projects.
• Travel to job sites for field reconnaissance in varied terrain and weather.
