Job summary

TYLin is seeking a motivated Senior Track and Civil Engineer to join our Rail & Transit team in the United States. This role supports and leads components of complex transportation projects from planning through construction, collaborating with senior managers and multidisciplinary teams.

The position emphasizes deep expertise in track design, alignment geometry, corridor integration, and cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in rail track design (light rail, heavy rail, commuter rail, intercity passenger rail, or freight).
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in at least one U.S. state (or able to obtain licensure through reciprocity).
PMP certification is a plus.
Proven experience leading complex rail infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

Serve as the discipline lead for track design on major rail and transit projects across the U.S.
Lead the development of horizontal and vertical alignments, turnouts, crossovers, and yard/maintenance facility layouts.
Oversee preparation and review of engineering plans, specifications, and design criteria.
Coordinate with signaling, traction power, OCS, communications, civil, structural, and geotechnical teams.
Mentor and develop junior engineers and support business development efforts.
