Job summary

Terracon is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector to support a large transportation infrastructure project from the Los Angeles metropolitan area toward the Nevada state line. This role is field-based, monitoring activities to ensure contract specs and standards are met.

You will inspect steel, concrete, rail systems, signals, traction power, and other infrastructure, prepare daily reports, maintain project records, and advise engineering and management teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4–6 years’ experience in construction inspection.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• Ability to travel.
• Hold relevant inspection certifications.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing, observation, and inspection per contract specifications.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Document findings clearly and prepare reports.
• Identify nonconformances and coordinate resolutions with Project Manager.
• Lead and coordinate activities of lower level inspectors.
• Maintain equipment operation and calibration.
• Adhere to safety rules and pre-task planning.
