Metropolitan Transportation Authority is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design, analysis, and maintenance of rolling stock systems. You will coordinate activities across engineering teams, develop specifications for components, and oversee testing and troubleshooting of door, brake, and car body systems.

You will supervise personnel, engage stakeholders, and ensure compliance with safety and performance standards while supporting obsolescence mitigation and reliability improvements.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; 7+ years in railcar maintenance or similar.
• At least 3 years in supervisory or management roles.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, CADD; experience with ANSYS/FEA.
• Ability to work under pressure and communicate effectively.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate mechanical engineering analysis and design for new or rebuilt railcar systems.
• Develop and evaluate mechanical drawings and maintenance procedures.
• Supervise staff and provide engineering support for procurement and testing.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and maintain quality standards.
