Job summary

HNTB Corporation in Los Angeles is seeking a lead technical engineer to guide complex project delivery on major rail initiatives. You will provide expert design, reviews, and mentoring across multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment with client expectations and industry standards.

The role requires senior-level experience in high-speed rail design, rail systems integration, and a PE certification, with a demonstrated ability to act as a trusted advisor to clients and project leadership.

Qualifications

Lead technical engineer on large, complex projects.
Experience with High-speed rail corridor design and rail systems integration.
Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
Experience with high-speed rail projects in California.

Responsibilities

Performs independent technical reviews and provides guidance on complex projects.
Mentors production staff and supports project leadership.
Involves proposal generation for complex projects.
Coordinates technical aspects with clients and partners.
Ensures technical consistency across disciplines.
