Job summary

HNTB Corporation in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an experienced engineer to produce and modify design calculations, reports, and specifications for major transportation projects. You will collaborate with the project manager, mentor junior engineers, and help deliver projects for clients like LA Metro and CHSRA.

You will plan work, support marketing efforts with proposals, and ensure scope, schedule, and budget responsibilities are met across multi-discipline teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience.
• PhD in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Planning and distribution of discipline-specific work, and adherence to the schedule and budget on projects.
• Assist in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.
• Assist with the development of scope of work and level of effort for projects and/or assignments within discipline.
• Oversee completeness and accuracy of project team’s work within the technical discipline.
• Guide and mentor team to overall project objectives.
• Coordinate technical aspects of project with client counterpart and teaming partners at staff level for work within the discipline.
• Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
