Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Technical Project Director – Rail/HSR to lead complex rail/high-speed rail programs in the US, guiding planning, design, construction and systems integration while ensuring scope, schedule, budget and quality objectives.

You will establish priorities, set technical standards, oversee quality, and foster an inclusive culture across matrix teams, with hybrid work stemming from flexible in-person/remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineering License in California or evidence of past license.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 18 years of progressively responsible project management experience including planning, budgeting, execution, and successful project delivery.
• Minimum 8 years of experience working directly on US based High Speed Rail planning and design projects.
• Extensive Knowledge of the rail industry, including rail track, high speed rail, rail bridges and tunnels, and/or rail grade crossing design and construction.
• Proven ability to manage multiple rail or railroad projects simultaneously and within a complex operating environment.
• Strong technical and leadership skills and experience working in a dynamic matrix organization, collaborating with regional and local leadership teams with private and public sector members, and supporting business development, marketing, and project delivery efforts.
