Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead day-to-day oversight of large rail design-build projects in New York City. The role involves coordinating field activities across Design-Build teams, contractors, consultants, and client stakeholders to meet contract requirements.

The ideal candidate will bring at least 12 years in construction/project management, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of contracts, schedules, cost control, and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 12 years of progressive construction management or PM experience on large-scale transportation/rail projects.
• Experience reading, interpreting, and administering construction contracts, drawings, schedules and specs.
• Experience coordinating multiple contractors and stakeholders in safety-critical environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day oversight of design and construction activities for large-scale rail projects.
• Coordinate field activities among design-build teams, contractors, consultants, and operations.
• Monitor sequencing, site logistics, and interfaces to ensure safe, efficient delivery.
• Lead meetings, document decisions, actions, and follow-ups.
• Identify field issues early and coordinate timely resolution with engineering, safety, and project controls.
