Job summary

WSP is seeking a Deputy Project Manager for a rail transportation project in the New York City region. You will support the Project Manager across design, installation, testing, and commissioning, coordinating signaling, track, and systems teams to align with contract scope and interfaces.

The role requires 7–10 years of experience on large infrastructure projects, strong stakeholder management, and proficiency with project reporting tools; AI awareness is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; business/PM acceptable.
• 7–10 years on large infrastructure or rail projects, design‑build preferred.
• Experience interfacing engineering and project management.
• Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in safety‑critical environments.
• Proficient with standard project reporting tools and document control systems.
• Exposure to AI tools for project management and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in execution, planning, and reporting across design, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to align with contract scope and interfaces.
• Track progress, identify risks, and support mitigation planning.
• Prepare inputs for progress meetings, dashboards, and executive reviews.
• Support change management, variation evaluation, and claims analysis.
