Hitachi Rail in San Francisco seeks a Senior Construction Manager to oversee the Train Control Upgrade Project. The role requires leading the construction team, coordinating with engineering, contractors, and stakeholders, and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with high safety and quality standards.

You will attend customer meetings, manage resources, monitor progress, and drive the project from planning through handover, ensuring compliance with all regulations and Hitachi Rail quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Experience in rail or transportation projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend weekly customer meetings.
• Explain Hitachi TCUP construction strategy and design practices.
• Lead the construction team across all project phases to meet timelines, budgets, and quality.
• Coordinate with engineering, contractors, and stakeholders to implement project plans.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation measures.
• Manage labor, materials, and equipment to optimize productivity and costs.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
• Oversee deployment, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Track planning milestones and communicate progress to stakeholders.
