Job summary

Lusternational in the greater San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a Construction Manager to support a large, complex rail infrastructure program. The role will strategically direct and oversee construction activities from pre-construction through delivery, ensuring alignment with schedule, budget, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or architecture, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years managing large ($500M+) heavy-civil rail infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in transit/rail or heavy-civil programs including tunneling, track, and systems.
• Experience with alternative delivery models and multi-contract oversight.
• Proficiency with project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project, Unifier, Kahua).
• Strong MS Office skills (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Own the constructability strategy and resolve construction challenges early and throughout.
• Lead construction input to design activities and milestones.
• Oversee construction across multiple contracts and delivery methods.
• Ensure people, processes, and verification protocols meet contractual requirements.
• Develop and lead construction management staff across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Coordinate with engineering, controls, procurement, safety, and quality teams.
• Support oversight requirements and reporting to multiple authorities.
