Job summary

Garg Consulting Services, Inc. in the Philadelphia area is seeking a Rail Construction Management Senior Inspector to oversee inspection of rail and transit projects, ensuring compliance with design plans, specifications, and safety standards.

This role requires leadership, mentorship, and coordination with engineers, construction managers, and clients to maintain quality and schedules. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Engineering, 10+ years in rail/transit inspection, and licensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, or related discipline).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in rail/transit construction inspection or field engineering.
• EIT, CCM, or Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Ability to interpret contract drawings and specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with ability to travel locally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction inspection of rail systems, including track, signals, traction power, and related infrastructure.
• Ensure contractor compliance with design plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Lead and mentor inspection staff to maintain consistent reporting and documentation standards.
• Coordinate with project engineers, construction managers, and client representatives to resolve field issues.
• Prepare and submit daily inspection reports, photo documentation, and field observations.
• Monitor schedule adherence and quality control throughout construction activities.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical guidance on construction inspection.
