Urban Engineers, Inc. in Baltimore seeks a Senior Cost Estimator to lead cost estimating and project controls for a major rail infrastructure program. The role requires coordination of a multidisciplinary team, hands-on estimating using HCSS HeavyBid, and integration with CPM scheduling in Primavera P6. On-site presence in Baltimore at least three days per week is required, with client-facing leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 10 years of progressively responsible experience in project controls, cost estimating, scheduling, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in passenger rail or related transportation modes.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Professional certifications in cost estimating/scheduling are desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in day-to-day project controls for a major rail program.
• Coordinate a multidisciplinary project controls team (cost estimators, schedulers, risk professionals).
• Interface with client, project team, contractors, and designers on cost, schedule, risk and related matters.
• Provide hands-on estimating and scheduling support, reviewing estimates and CPM schedules.
• Prepare Basis of Estimate documentation, memos, and project controls deliverables.
• Represent project leadership in client and technical meetings as needed.
