Job summary

NuScale Power, LLC is seeking a senior Radiological Engineer to specialize in source terms, dose analysis, atmospheric dispersion, and shielding analyses for pressurized light-water reactors. This remote-capable role requires expertise in NRCDose, SCALE, RADTRAD, MCNP, and ADVANTG, with strong collaboration across teams.

The candidate will mentor junior engineers, plan complex engineering tasks, and ensure compliance with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and ASME NQA-1 within the NuScale safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nuclear engineering or radiological health physics from ABET/ANSAC accredited program.
• Minimum 5 years of full-time nuclear/radiological engineering or health physics experience; at least 2 years in PWR/BWR design analysis using NRCDose, SCALE, RADTRAD, MCNP, and ADVANTG.
• Eligible to work under DOE 10 CFR Part 810.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations and analyses using industry-standard methods and simulation tools with little supervision.
• Develop resolutions to complex problems requiring creativity and innovation.
• Plan and perform innovative and complex engineering assignments on a team dedicated to engineering projects.
• Mentor and train junior engineers.
• Represent the department as a technical resource inside and outside the department.
• Interact with internal peers and management on coordination matters.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
