Job summary

NuScale Power, LLC is a leading provider of modular nuclear energy solutions seeking a senior Radiological Engineer. The role focuses on radiological and nuclear analyses, licensing defense, and export-controlled software eligibility.

You will work remotely within the contiguous United States and collaborate with NuScale teams to deliver compliant, safe reactor licensing analyses. You will mentor junior engineers, develop solutions to complex licensing challenges, and coordinate with management

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of nuclear/radiological engineering or health physics experience.
• 2-3 years’ experience in PWR/BWR license development and defense.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations and analyses using standard methods and simulation tools with minimal supervision.
• Develop resolutions to complex problems requiring creativity and innovation.
• Plan, organize and execute innovative, complex engineering assignments on engineering projects.
• Exercise judgment within policies to resolve complex issues; interface with management and senior customers.
• Represent the organization as principal customer contact and present technical information on projects.
• Mentor and train junior engineers; perform other duties as assigned.
