Job summary

Last Energy seeks an experienced Radiological Engineer to support the safety and licensing analysis for the PWR-20 micro nuclear reactor. This person will work closely with the nuclear engineering and safety analysis staff to ensure that the PWR-20 design meets radiation safety and accident dose requirements.

The role involves calculating radiological source terms, assessing neutron and gamma fields around the NSSS and site, and evaluating doses from potential accidents to protect surrounding

Qualifications

• 5+ years applicable experience in PWR or BWR radiological evaluations.
• Proficiency in nuclear industry analysis codes and scripting/coding.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Positive team interaction and peer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Determine core and coolant radiological source terms.
• Determine neutron and gamma radiation field around NSSS and site.
• Calculate dose from theoretical accidents and impact on surrounding areas.
• Support interfaces with customers and regulatory authorities to obtain regulatory approval.
• Prepare and review safety analyses, calculation files and records.
