Job summary

Naval Nuclear Laboratory seeks a Radiological Controls Shift Lead II to lead training and mentorship within Radiological Controls Operations. This role focuses on developing curricula for RCTs/SRCTs, coordinating drills, and driving continuous improvement across NRF product lines. Qualifications include SRCT and RCTQS with extensive nuclear experience; U.S.

citizenship is required for security clearances. This position supports safety, reliability, and the training of Navy and naval contractors

Qualifications

  • Requires RCTQS qualification with SRCT qualification and substantial years of nuclear experience.
  • Multiple pathways include naval propulsion operator qualification or NR RPT certification with years of relevant experience.
  • All candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, schedule, and deliver training for RCTs and SRCTs in classroom and field settings.
  • Foster leadership and mentorship among RCSLs and TMs.
  • Coordinate radiological spill drills within operations teams.
  • Develop NRF curriculum for NRF product lines for new RCTs.
  • Serve as training coordinator for NRF Transportation Emergency Response Team.
  • Support NRF radiological training programs and monitor data for trends.
