Job summary

The Radiological Controls Engineering team at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking an entry level engineer to ensure radiological work at NRF complies with local, corporate, and regulatory requirements. Duties include reviewing technical work documents, scoping complex radiological work, and developing standards to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities also include audits of documents and processes and supporting the Emergency Response Organization through drills and exercises.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a related technical, engineering or science field.
• Masters degree in a related technical, engineering or science field.

• Assist in scoping and planning of complex radiological work.
• Develop standards and local processes to ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
• Perform audits and surveillances of documents and work processes.
