Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures.
• Explains procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and obtain cooperation.
• Prepares and positions patient for imaging procedures.
• Determines exposure factors based on patient and area; positions equipment.
• Operates radiographic equipment to produce diagnostic images.
• Assists radiologists with fluoroscopy where permitted.
• Prepares images for reading by radiologist or physician.
• Maintains quality control and basic maintenance on equipment.
• Complies with radiation protection standards and keeps records.
