Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a radiology specialty (CT) OR 1 year of experience with ARRT certification in that specialty.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Radiologic Technologist - Fluoroscopy Certificate (California).
• Venipuncture Certificate (California) and Basic Life Support required.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
• Adjust immobilization devices for optimum views.
• Determine exposure factors and position imaging equipment accordingly.
• Operate mobile radiologic equipment in operating rooms, ER, or at patient bedsides.
• Assist radiologists and physicians with fluoroscopy where permitted.
• Prepare images for reading and ensure proper identification and quality control.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on radiologic equipment.
