Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiology procedures under supervision in our imaging department. You will operate radiographic equipment, position patients, and ensure high-quality images for radiologist review.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, adherence to radiation safety protocols, and collaboration with physicians to support accurate diagnoses. Valid California radiologic licenses and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• California Radiologic Technologist license with Venipuncture and Fluoroscopy certifications.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• California Mammography certificate when required for the position.
• Venipuncture certification per CA requirements in modality where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiology procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and obtain cooperation.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging.
• Adjust immobilization devices for optimum views.
• Determine exposure factors based on patient and body part.
• Move imaging equipment into position and operate controls.
• Ensure image quality and proper identification for reading.
• Maintain equipment and perform basic repairs as needed.
• Follow radiation protection procedures to minimize exposure.
