Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center, onsite at Schriever AFB in Colorado Springs, CO. You will support multiple warfighter organizations, provide radar education, and serve as the radar SME in a dynamic, collaborative team.

The role emphasizes mission-focused analysis, coordination with warfighter communities, and travel up to 10% to meet program requirements. Dept.

Qualifications

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience working with radar systems, within the Missile Defense System and/or related fields.

Responsibilities

Support multiple warfighter organizations across the Missile Defense enterprise.
Provide radar education and training for Combatant Commands, especially Sensor Manager Cells.
Participate in planning conferences, technical interchange meetings, system testing, and execution of Wargames and Exercises, serving as the radar subject matter expert (SME).
Contribute to the broader Missile Defense System (MDS) community and support real‑world operational needs.
Analyze operational radar data to support mission outcomes.
Travel domestically and internationally up to approximately 10% to meet program requirements.
