Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer for the Sensors Warfighter Support Team onsite at Schriever AFB in Colorado Springs, CO. You will work with a small, highly collaborative team supporting radar systems and Missile Defense activities, including education, wargames, and operational support.

The role emphasizes collaboration with warfighter communities, incident analysis, and a strong focus on radar expertise.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and 10+ years of experience in related field.
• Experience with radar systems, especially Missile Defense.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
• U.S. security clearance eligibility may be required for start date.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple warfighter organizations within Missile Defense enterprise.
• Provide radar education and training for Combatant Commands and Sensor Manager Cells.
• Serve as radar SME in planning conferences, tech interchange meetings, and system testing.
• Contribute to the MDS community and support real-world operational needs.
• Analyze operational radar data to support mission outcomes.
• Travel up to ~10% domestically and internationally as program requires.
