Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities Surface Radars & Sensors Center at Schriever AFB, CO. The role focuses on supporting warfighter radar needs, applying high‑fidelity simulations, and performing system analysis within the Missile Defense framework.

You will work closely with warfighter communities, providing radar expertise, participating in wargames, and aiding in sensor deployment and threat modeling.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience working with radar systems, within the Missile Defense System and/or related fields.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple warfighter organizations across the Missile Defense enterprise.
• Provide radar education and training for Combatant Commands, especially Sensor Manager Cells.
• Participate in planning conferences, technical interchange meetings, system testing, and execution of Wargames and Exercises, serving as the radar subject matter expert (SME).
• Contribute to the broader Missile Defense System (MDS) community and support real‑world operational needs.
• Analyze operational radar data to support mission outcomes.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to approximately 10% to meet program requirements.
