Job summary

RTX in Plano, Texas, is seeking a Radar Principal Systems Engineer to advance radar system design and waveform development. This onsite role collaborates with on-site engineers to lead analysis, modeling, and data-driven decisions for complex radar platforms.

You will steer waveform development, guide junior engineers, and present technical results to customers, while aligning with security requirements and program goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM with 8+ years radar experience.
Experience in radar mode/skill development and radar system integration.
UNIX/Linux and programming in C/C++ with MATLAB or Python for data analysis.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Radar performance analysis, waveform experimentation, system capability investigations, trade study generation and data analysis.
Participate in peer reviews and resolve identified technical problems.
Interface with team lead, team members, and related engineers daily.
Conduct and/or participate in customer and program presentations.
Apply technical knowledge to develop novel radar waveforms and innovative work products.
Provide SME-level guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
