Job summary

CHAOS Inc. is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer, Algorithm Development - Effectors, to lead radar signal processing and system-level design in airborne platforms.

You will collaborate across hardware and software teams to translate mission needs into robust algorithms and validated models. You will design, implement, and optimize real-time radar processing pipelines using C++, Python, MATLAB, and hardware accelerators, while ensuring performance under strict resource constraints and field

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field.
• 10+ years of airborne radar systems development experience.
• Strong radar principles and signal processing knowledge.
• Experience with AESA design and beamforming.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop radar signal processing algorithms for target detection, tracking, and classification.
• Optimize algorithms for real-time performance within resource constraints.
• Implement algorithms in software (C++, Python, MATLAB) and/or hardware (FPGAs, DSPs).
• Analyze radar data to evaluate system performance and identify improvements.
• Develop and maintain system simulations and models for algorithm evaluation.
• Contribute to system requirements and specifications.
• Model radar systems and signal processing chains; support field tests and data collection.
• Document findings and present progress to team and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
