Job summary

CHAOS Industries in Los Angeles seeks a Senior Systems Engineer for Algorithm Development in Effectors to design and implement advanced radar signal processing for target detection, tracking and classification.

You will work across software and hardware with Python, MATLAB, C++, FPGA/DSP, and contribute to system simulations and field tests while collaborating in a multidisciplinary team. The role offers competitive base salary, stock options, relocation support and comprehensive health benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in STEM or equivalent work experience.
10+ years of airborne radar systems development experience.
Strong radar principles, signal processing techniques and algorithms.
Familiarity with AESA design principles and beamforming.
Proficiency in Python, MATLAB or C++.

Responsibilities

Design and develop radar signal processing algorithms for detection, tracking, and classification.
Optimize algorithms for real-time performance under resource constraints.
Implement algorithms in software and/or hardware (FPGA/DSP).
Analyze radar data to evaluate system performance and identify improvements.
Develop system simulations and models for algorithm evaluation.
Contribute to system requirements and specifications.
Model radar systems and signal processing chains; participate in field tests.
Document findings and present progress to team and stakeholders.
