Job summary

CHAOS Industries seeks a Senior Systems Engineer, Algorithm Development in Los Angeles. You will design and optimize radar signal processing algorithms for detection, tracking, and classification, and lead new radar capabilities with minimal guidance.

Expect real-time optimization, software/hardware integration, and data-driven performance evaluation. You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate across disciplines; strong C++, Python, MATLAB, and RF/DSP expertise are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent work experience.
Deep radar systems understanding and signal processing knowledge.
Proficiency in Python and MATLAB; strong C++ skills preferred.
Experience with RF systems and digital signal processing.
Proven algorithm development experience; able to mentor others.

Responsibilities

Design and develop radar signal processing algorithms for target detection, tracking, classification.
Lead development of new radar capabilities with minimal guidance.
Optimize algorithms for real-time performance under resource constraints.
Implement in software (C++, Python, MATLAB) and/or hardware (FPGAs, DSPs).
Analyze radar data to evaluate system performance and identify improvements.
Develop system simulations and models for algorithm evaluation.
Plan and lead field tests and data collection activities.
Document findings and present progress to leadership.
Mentor and guide junior engineers.
Work full-time onsite at our Hawthorne, CA office.
