You will design and implement advanced radar signal processing, lead development of new capabilities, and optimize real-time performance across software and hardware. The job is onsite in Hawthorne, CA, with senior engineers mentoring you and opportunities for growth.

Minimum qualifications include a STEM degree and strong radar/ DSP expertise. Proficiency in Python or MATLAB, C++, and RF systems is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or equivalent work experience.
• Deep understanding of radar systems and modes.
• Strong knowledge of radar principles, signal processing techniques, and algorithms.
• Familiarity with Python or MATLAB.
• Experience with RF systems and digital signal processing.
• Ability to develop algorithms and analyze data.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced radar signal processing algorithms for target detection, tracking, and classification.
• Lead the development of new radar capabilities with minimal guidance.
• Optimize algorithms for real-time performance and resource constraints.
• Implement algorithms in software (C++, Python, MATLAB) and/or hardware (FPGAs, DSPs).
• Analyze radar data to evaluate system performance and identify improvements.
• Develop and maintain system simulations and models to support development and evaluation.
• Design and development of radar modes
• Contribute to system requirements and specifications
• Modeling and simulation of radar systems and sub-systems
• Plan and lead field tests and data collection
• Document and present technical findings to leadership
• Mentor and guide junior engineers
• Work full-time onsite at our office in Hawthorne, CA
