Job summary

RTX is seeking Radar Systems Engineers in El Segundo, CA to design and validate advanced radar and sensor systems for defense programs. Onsite role working with experienced engineers across the full product lifecycle.

You will develop system architectures, analyze requirements, perform modeling with MATLAB and Python, and support integration, testing, and flight activities. Travel up to 10% may apply.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience in Systems Engineering with radar algorithm design, requirements development, software/hardware integration, data analysis using Matlab, and configuration management
• Active and transferrable final U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start. US citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Responsibilities

• Contribute to all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle, including trade studies and requirements traceability
• Develop CONOPS and system architecture; allocate requirements and verify through the lifecycle
• Support DOORS-based requirement development and verification
• Radar mode algorithm development and system performance assessments
• Model, simulate, and analyze data using MATLAB, Python, and C++
• Work in a classified, controlled lab environment daily
• Participate in hardware/software integration, troubleshooting, and lab testing
• Support verification, validation, flight test, production, and post-deployment activities
• Perform MBSE-based system design and prepare technical reports
• Travel up to 10%
