Job summary

RTX in Woburn, MA, seeks a Principal Radar Systems Engineer to serve as Agile Product Owner for the AN/TPY-2 radar program. The role supports high-resolution detection and tracking for missile defense, onsite at the Woburn site with a robust engineering culture.

You will lead the design, development, testing, and analysis of radar capabilities, using MATLAB, C/C++, and Python, with a focus on performance and system-level integration.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 8+ years of relevant radar engineering experience.
• Experience leading a technical effort.
• Experience in monitoring technical cost and schedule performance.
• Knowledge of Agile Scrum practices and earned value management.
• Experience with AI/ML signal processing and radar algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Manage agile team backlog and translate into clear user stories with acceptance criteria.
• Refine epics, plan milestones, and oversee sprint objectives.
• Oversee technical, financial, and schedule execution for the team.
• Perform radar system performance assessments and end-to-end analysis.
• Validate requirements and generate test scenarios for deployments.
• Develop mission plans and analyze radar inputs for tests and operations.
• Lead design, prototyping, integration, and testing of radar capabilities.
• Support proposals and team financial planning with technical expertise.
