Job summary

RTX, based in Woburn, MA, is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join the Apollo deployed software and systems team for the AN/TPY-2 radar program. This onsite role requires leadership in deployment, testing, and integration across cross-functional teams in a defense aerospace context.

You will install, configure, and patch radar builds, troubleshoot complex issues, and develop verification plans to meet performance goals. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires STEM degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in systems software integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical lead within deployed systems and software team for AN/TPY-2 radar systems.
• Lead installation, integration, and configuration of new radar builds, software updates, and patches.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software and system issues in Linux environments with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and maintain test plans to validate new software builds against requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight during integration and testing.
