Job summary

Metrea Advanced Signals LLC in Washington, D.C. area seeks a Senior Radar Software Engineer to own the core platform powering radar, communications, and RF sensing R&D.

This hands-on role manages the shared C++ codebase, ensuring fast, clean, and reusable software from simulation to prototype hardware. You will collaborate with domain engineers to deliver a high-performance platform, connect to RF hardware, and drive robust testing, documentation, and releases.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Physics) and strong fundamentals.
• 10+ years of professional C/C++ in numerical, scientific, or signal-processing contexts.
• Experience designing and maintaining shared codebases used by other engineers.
• Proficiency in Python for testing, validation, data analysis, and visualization.
• Experience with CI/CD for C++ projects: build systems (CMake), packaging, automated testing, static analysis, containerized builds.

Responsibilities

• Own the RADLAB CORE repository: architecture, modules, build system, and dependencies; design reusable frameworks.
• Profile and optimize computationally intensive signal processing and simulation pipelines; optimize for cache, SIMD, concurrency, and GPU offload where appropriate.
• Own the CI/CD pipeline, automated testing infrastructure, static analysis, and release process.
• Translate algorithms into correct, maintainable, high-performance C++ integrating with RADLAB CORE.
• Support simulation campaigns using C++ and Python; build tooling and harnesses to automate experiments.
• Collaborate with prototyping lead to connect RADLAB CORE with RF hardware and lab tools; manage data protocols and interfaces.
• Contribute to technical documentation, build guides, architecture references, API docs, and test summaries.
