Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Radar Research and Development Scientist — Senior Project Engineer for Signal & Image Processing to lead advanced radar programs for GEOINT. You will analyze architectures, develop recommendations, and communicate technical issues to management and government customers.

This on-site role in Chantilly, VA requires collaboration across teams to deliver mission-critical capabilities and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in mathematics, physics, electrical engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 12 years of post-bachelor experience for Senior Project Engineer, or 6+ years for Project Engineer (time spent on advanced degrees counts).
  • Active TS/SSBI/SCI clearance with U.S. citizenship required to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist GEOINT customers in planning, negotiating and executing crucial radar system development decisions.
  • Lead analysis and develop recommendations for future RADAR systems and architectures.
  • Lead analysis and collaboration on development and implementation of electronic protection.
  • Communicate issues and provide independent recommendations to Aerospace management and government customers.
  • Integrate Aerospace activities to focus on future capabilities for the customer.
  • Mentor SETA, Aerospace, and Customer representatives learning program execution.
