Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Radar Research and Development Scientist (Senior Project Engineer – Signal & Image Process Engineering) to lead advanced RADAR programs for GEOINT. The role requires hands-on work on site in Chantilly, VA and involves directing analysis, architecture development, and coordination with government customers and contractors.

Ideal candidates will have a technical degree with 6+ years in SAR systems, signal processing, and hardware design using FPGAs/GPUs,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or advanced degree in mathematics, physics, electrical engineering or a related technical discipline.
Minimum of 6 years post-bachelor experience; experience with SAR space-based systems is required.
Security clearance (TS/SSBI/SCI) and U.S. citizenship are required.
Experience with signal processing and system architecture for SAR space-based systems.

Responsibilities

Lead analysis and develop recommendations for future RADAR systems and architectures.
Coordinate development and implementation of electronic protection across the customer community.
Communicate issues and provide independent recommendations to Aerospace management and customers.
Mentor SETA and customer representatives in program execution.
Identify research opportunities to advance GEOINT RADAR technology.
