Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. Aeronautics Systems seeks a highly experienced Flight Test Engineer for Radar-focused test efforts across aircraft platforms.

You will serve as a technical authority for radar test planning, execution and data analysis, interfacing with design, maintenance, test ops and customers. The role requires a Bachelor of Science in a STEM field with 8+ years of experience (or a relevant Master’s with 6 years), and an active Secret clearance with SAP eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a STEM field and 8+ years of related professional/military experience, OR a Master’s with 6 years.
• Active US Government Secret clearance (with BI within 6 years or Continuous Evaluation).
• Ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance in a timely manner.
• Willingness to overtime, odd hours, and occasional weekends to support test schedules.

Responsibilities

• Develop and publish Detailed Test Plans and procedures for Radar systems.
• Lead Radar test planning groups coordinating across disciplines.
• Define test configurations, instrumentation, and data collection for Radar subsystems.
• Review requirements and traceability to ensure alignment with plans.
• Perform technical analysis of Radar performance and prepare evaluation reports.
• Support test card development and approvals with design, test ops, and safety.
• Conduct Test Readiness Reviews and briefings to stakeholders.
• Provide real time mission control support using IADS and manage data integrity.
• Maintain and report testing metrics and flight hour utilization.
• Mentor engineers to SME level in Radar test methodologies and best practices.
