Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in New Mexico is seeking an experienced Senior/Principal R&D S&E Systems Engineer to join the ND Future Systems team. The role involves leading system design/qualification, interfacing with NSE partners, and supporting studies from pre-phase 1 to rapid flight demonstrations.

The position requires a BS in a relevant field with 5+ years of experience, or equivalent, and active DOE Q clearance with ability to obtain Sigma 15. On-site work is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and five years of directly relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Active DOE Q clearance or equivalent and ability to obtain and maintain Sigma 15.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team performing system design or qualification.
• Interface with National Security Enterprise partners.
• Support system studies and phase 1 studies exploring future ND system design concepts.
• Partner with vehicle designers to integrate system architectures into flight vehicles.
• Develop and refine system requirements and CONOPs.
• Brief DOE and DOW customers and stakeholders.
• On-site work is required for this posting.
