Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 5 years directly relevant experience or equivalent
• Active DOE Q-level Security Clearance or equivalent; willingness to obtain Sigma 15 access
• Experience with mechanical engineering and product realization in the NNSA complex; strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Aid in component and fixture design using CAD and verifying drawings for manufacturability using GD&T
• Rapid prototyping using 3-D printing and environmental testing of designs
• Provide engineering support for the local production agency and analyze impacts of changes
• Coordinate with product engineers to balance producibility and performance
• Document test results and communicate with stakeholders
