Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks an R&D Electrical Engineer in the Ferro-Electric Neutron Generator (FENG) / ELNG Value Stream to step into a process engineer role. You will enable and sustain the full manufacturing life cycle, evaluating components for weapon systems and leading production process development.

You will anticipate risks, guide experiments, and collaborate across teams to improve design definition, quality and manufacturability while working onsite at Sandia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance.
• Experience with manufacturing processes in nuclear/defense environments.

Responsibilities

• Support product realization and evaluate components for nuclear weapon systems.
• Lead development and qualification of production processes to meet requirements.
• Improve understanding of NG requirements through experimental work and data analysis.
• Identify risks and drive continuous improvement in processes and design definitions.
