Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in the United States is seeking an exceptional product engineer to support the ferroelectric neutron generator design team. You will help define product requirements, improve manufacturability, and perform design activities to establish the technical basis for modernization efforts.

The role requires collaboration with peers across departments, hands-on development of prototypes, and ensuring documentation and qualification activities are completed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent education/experience.
• Active DOE Q security clearance or equivalent; willing to obtain Sigma 15 access.
• Graduate degree in Engineering or related field is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support by analyzing the impacts of changes to the manufacturing process.
• Identify process improvements in collaboration with PA counterparts.
• Coordinate with test leads to ensure appropriate hardware is provided.
• Track hardware through development and production, documenting deviations and exceptions.
• Coordinate and document pedigree of experimental test units and communicate results.
