Job summary

Dow Industrial Solutions seeks a Senior R&D Leader based in Collegeville, PA, to direct a 13-person multi-site team supporting product and application development. You will manage transitions from research to commercialization across Cleaning, Pharma, and other segments.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of five years of leadership and a strong track record in safety, collaboration, and portfolio management, with a hands-on approach to innovation and IP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related scientific or engineering discipline.
• Minimum five years of relevant technical experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage complex technical work, and collaborate across functions.
• Strong commitment to safe operations and responsible research practices.
• U.S. work eligibility without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a multi-site R&D team; set priorities and allocate resources.
• Build organizational capability by attracting and retaining talent.
• Ensure safe and compliant laboratory operations across sites.
• Develop and manage Home Care Cleaning R&D portfolio and platforms.
• Lead cross-functional teams to translate strategy into research plans.
• Oversee project delivery with rigorous scientific methods and documentation.
• Champion IP strategies and patent filings; support commercialization.
• Partner with Product R&D, TS&D, Process R&D, and Commercial to advance research.
• Engage external partners to support growth opportunities.
• Manage budgets, capital plans, and investments to grow capabilities.
