Job summary

Dow Industrial Solutions is seeking a Senior R&D Leader based in Collegeville, PA, to direct a 13-member multidisciplinary team supporting product and application development in the Cleaning Growth Platform and related sectors. You will oversee portfolio strategy, stage-gate governance, and cross-functional execution to deliver new products and sustainable growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
Minimum five years of relevant technical experience.
Ability to lead teams, manage complex technical work, and collaborate across functions.
Strong commitment to safe operations and responsible research practices.
U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship for this position.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a multi-site R&D team; set priorities, allocate resources, manage performance, and foster engagement.
Build organizational capability by attracting and retaining talent, conducting development discussions, and aligning people with business strategy.
Ensure safe and compliant laboratory operations in Collegeville by championing EHS policies and behaviors as local DIS leader.
Develop and manage Home Care Cleaning R&D portfolio and relevant technology platforms, including stage-gate progression and launch timing.
Lead cross-functional Cleaning Front End Team; translate strategy into research priorities and execution plans.
Oversee project delivery against milestones with rigorous methods and clear documentation; remove roadblocks.
Champion IP strategies, including patent filings, and partner with functions to advance research and commercialization.
Engage with customers, universities, and external partners to support existing products and generate new growth.
