Job summary

Dow Industrial Solutions in Collegeville, PA, seeks a Senior R&D Leader to guide a 13-person multi-site team delivering products and platforms in Cleaning and related sectors. You will oversee safety, portfolio strategy, and cross-functional execution to drive growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• Minimum five years of relevant technical experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and collaborate across functions.
• Strong commitment to safe operations and responsible research practices.
• U.S. work authorization required; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-site R&D team; set priorities, allocate resources, and foster engagement.
• Attract and retain talent; align people with business strategy.
• Ensure safe, compliant laboratory operations; champion EHS policies.
• Develop, prioritize, and manage the Home Care Cleaning R&D portfolio and platforms.
• Lead the cross-functional Cleaning Front End Team and translate strategy into research plans.
• Oversee project delivery against milestones with rigorous methods and documentation.
• Champion new product innovation and IP strategies, including patent filings.
• Partner with Product R&D, TS&D, Process R&D, EI&G R&D, Commercial, Marketing.
• Engage customers, universities, and external partners to support growth.
• Assess portfolio performance; address capability gaps and resource alignment.
• Manage operating budgets, capital plans, and investments.
