Job summary

BD is seeking a Senior R&D Engineer for the Specimen Management team in the USA NJ – Franklin Lakes area. The role requires applying engineering principles to develop robust product features and processes.

You will lead design verification and validation activities, perform DOE and MSA analyses, and guide cross-functional teams to implement scalable solutions across high-volume manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• BS: 5+ years of experience in technical area.
• MS: 3+ years of experience in technical area.
• PhD: 2+ years of experience in technical area.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and judgement.
• Experience directing teams and leading small cross-functional groups.

Responsibilities

• Develops technical solutions using engineering principles and analyses.
• Designs and develops in vivo and in vitro models to evaluate features.
• Plans, executes and analyzes DOE with robust data handling.
• Leads bench studies, tolerance stack-ups, verification and validation.
• Performs data analysis and presents results to leadership.
