Job summary

MillenniumSoft Inc. in Franklin Lakes, NJ, seeks an R&D Engineer II for the BD-Life Sciences-Integrated Diagnostic Solution project. The role focuses on mechanical design, testing and cross-functional collaboration to advance specimen management features while complying with quality policies.

You will contribute to experimental design, data analysis and design verification activities, with a strong emphasis on robust methods and tolerance analyses. This is a 12+ month contract on W2 in 1st shift.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience for BS; MS requires no experience in technical area.
• Proficient in solid modeling and design methods.
• Knowledge of DFSS/ Six Sigma practices and design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Works under supervision to solve technical problems of increasing scope.
• Develop mechanical designs to meet performance requirements.
• Analyze design variations and performance anomalies.
• Design and perform experimental tests and ensure scientific method adherence.
• Contributes to project teams or leads smaller projects.
• Support material/design/process changes through design control processes.
• Develop and apply robust test methods and DOE studies.
• Ensure compliance with quality policies and training of QA principles.
• Plan, execute and analyze DOE.
• Prepare protocols and reports for engineering studies.
